Medical Assistant Atrium Health South Charlotte Internal Medicine

Medical Assistant role providing patient care, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining training and competency based on area of specialty. Performs rooming/visit tasks, assists with procedures, lab related duties, and administers medications and vaccines. Demonstrates effective communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or may have completed structured military training which is clinical in nature
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days
