Medical Assistant role providing patient care, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining training and competency based on area of specialty. Performs rooming/visit tasks, assists with procedures, lab related duties, and administers medications and vaccines. Demonstrates effective communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or may have completed structured military training which is clinical in nature
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days
