Outreach Athletic Trainer - High School & Community, Atrium Health Charlotte

The Outreach Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training services to high schools and/or community sporting events in the north Charlotte, NC region. The position will work with the Sports Medicine Team to cover events and provide care to athletes, including on-site recognition, evaluation, and treatment of injuries and illnesses. The trainer will also maintain records and supplies, develop a physician referral network, and facilitate patient entry into the healthcare system. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a human services field, athletic training certification, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field
• Current athletic training certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC)
• Currently licensed or eligible for a State of applicable state License in Athletic Training within 30 days of hire
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification
• Ability to work independently and confidently with little daily supervision
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
