Spanish Healthcare Interpreter I, PRN

Spanish Healthcare Interpreter I PRN position available at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Opportunity to pick up available shifts with some fixed on-call availability required. Must interpret information regarding patient's and family's healthcare needs and serve as a cultural broker. Must abide by healthcare system's professional conduct standards and execute job duties in an ethical manner.

Requirements

• Proactively responds to requests for language access in a healthcare setting
• Leversages the use of technology to deliver services in a variety of different modalities
• Maintains relationships with internal customers and makes key decisions regarding appropriate interpreter modalities
• Interprets information regarding patient's and family's healthcare needs
• Acts as a cultural broker by educating caregivers on the understanding of patient's culture in relationship to healthcare
• Translates basic written information as needed and within department guidelines
