Co-op Engineering Student

Join Aecon as a Co-op Engineering Student and contribute to the construction of infrastructure projects in British Columbia. As a student intern, you will be involved in exciting heavy civil projects, providing opportunities for learning and development. Key responsibilities include site audits, analysis, and reporting, assisting field engineers, and performing quantity tracking and productivity analysis.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university or technical college diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience in the construction industry is a strong asset
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Beginner knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A strong work ethic – highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right
• Adaptable to flexible work schedules (day and night shifts) when required to meet deadlines
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
