Designer, Project

Aecon is seeking a Project Designer to develop high-level telecom designs that support the planning and execution of FTTH and OSP infrastructure builds. The role involves developing FTTH/OSP/ISP High-Level Designs (HLD), validating base mapping, and authoring HLD drawings using Aecon's telecom title-block and plan standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of telecom design experience (FTTH/OSP/ISP), with emphasis on High-Level Design (HLD) or conceptual design;
• Ability to read base maps, utility records, and municipal standards;
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, ESRI/GIS, Google Earth/KMZ, and client systems;
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint);
• Committed to safety and quality standards;
• Post-secondary education in Electrical/Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related program is considered an asset;
