Electrical Estimator

Aecon is a Canadian leader in infrastructure development, and this is a job opportunity for an Electrical Estimator to join their team. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for generating accurate and timely cost estimates for assigned projects, while managing Aecon's risk. The ideal candidate will have experience in Electrical Construction, especially in Industrial Installations and/or wastewater/water treatment environments.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Construction / Electrical / Business
• Prior Estimating / Operational experience
• Experience as a Project Coordinator on Electrical Projects
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and contract documents
• Good knowledge of job cost fundamentals and basic accounting / reporting principles
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
• Strong computer skills – MS Excel / Word / and experience with estimating software (Accubid or Ineight Estimate)
• Working knowledge of regional Electrical Code
• Strong communication skills – oral and written
• Ability to read and understand Electrical Drawings and Specifications
• Ability to work accurately, effectively under pressure
• Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines
• Ability to work with others as a team
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
• Thorough knowledge of contract language / Terms and Conditions / Bonding etc.
