The Inventory Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that the company's inventory levels are optimized to meet production demands while minimizing costs. Requirements
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure that materials and products are available to meet production schedules.
- Stock Control: Perform regular stock checks, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter inventory data into the company’s ERP or inventory management system, ensuring timely updates and corrections.
- Reorder Point Management: Track and manage reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstock situations, working closely with procurement to place orders when necessary.
- Coordination with Departments: Work with production, procurement, and shipping/receiving departments to ensure timely availability of materials and to address any inventory-related issues.
- Inventory Reporting: Generate and analyze inventory reports to provide insights on inventory levels, usage trends, and potential issues.
- Loss Prevention: Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies and losses, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve inventory management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
