Job Description
Affirm is revolutionizing credit by making it more transparent and accessible through the use of AI and other technologies. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build systems powering their platforms for acquisition, engagement, and growth. The role involves leading and supporting a team, solving problems, and advocating for quality and ownership within the Engineering department.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, and service-oriented architecture.
- Experience defining a technical plan for delivering a significant feature or system component with an elegant, simple and extensible design.
- Proficiency at making significant changes in large code bases, and developing a suite of tools and practices to do so safely.
- Strong communication skills supporting effective collaboration.
