Staff Software Engineer

Affirm is seeking a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Acquisition & Onboarding team within the Consumer org. This is a high-impact leadership role for an engineer who can set technical direction, drive architectural decisions, and elevate the quality and velocity of full stack development across mobile, web, and backend systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Proficient in designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
• Proficient in developing web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React, React Native or Vue
• Experience delivering major features, system components or deprecating existing functionality in a system through the definition of a technical and execution plan
• Strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with our global engineering team
