Vietnamese Interpreter

Affordable Language Services is seeking a Vietnamese Interpreter to facilitate understanding in communication between people who speak different languages. The ideal candidate will have a high school education, fluent English and Vietnamese language skills, and be willing to undergo training in medical or legal interpreting.

Requirements

• Render accurate, comprehensive and professional interpreting services per the national Code of Ethics.
• Maintain professional standards by attending continuing education trainings to maintain the highest standards for delivery of service.
• Speak, read, and write fluently in ENGLISH and TARGET language
• Willing to be trained in medical or legal interpreting (offered periodically in Cincinnati for a fee)
• Sensitive to cultures other than your own
• Legally able to work in the United States
• Willing to do screening including: TB test, drug test, and FBI background check
• Able to provide documentation of MMR/Varicella immunizations
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
