We are seeking a Sr Investment Accountant to join our team at Aflac. The role involves performing SOX testing, analyzing investment vehicles, and ensuring compliance with FASB and SSAP regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of accounting and financial systems, as well as experience with SAP, BW, and Workiva. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, along with six years of professional job-related work experience in investments or related accounting/reporting.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency level using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access software applications with VBA/macro experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience with SAP, BW, Workiva and/or similar accounting/financial software
- Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), with an emphasis on insurance accounting and/or investment accounting
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience performing financial analysis, reporting, and/or process improvement
- Demonstrated competencies in the areas of consulting, change management, quality and project management
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field Preferred
- Six years of professional job-related work experience in investments or related accounting/reporting
