The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to residents in accordance with required medical care and professional nursing practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Registration and membership in good standing with provincial registry
• Knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Act and Regulations, the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupation Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food and Drugs Act (Canada), Controlled Substances Act (Canada) Health Promotion and Protection Act, Personal Health Protection Act, Coroners Act, Provincial College of Nurses and Standards of Practice and other pertinent Federal, Provincial and Municipal Statues which influence the operation of the Nursing Home and more specifically the nursing department.
