Metallurgical Technician

Agnico Eagle is seeking a Metallurgical Technician to join their Process Plant Department at the Macassa Mine. The successful candidate will perform testwork, provide technical support, and ensure safe and environmentally responsible work practices. The role requires a strong understanding of metallurgy and a commitment to promoting Agnico Eagle's values.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field equivalent
• Chemical or Metallurgical Technologist Diploma, or experience in gold metallurgy
• 1-2 years of experience in mining process plant operations
• Detailed knowledge of all phases of gold processing including grinding and agitated leaching with cyanide, carbon absorption and regeneration, and refining
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance to access the refinery
• Experience working in a multicultural environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
