Job Description
As a Computer and Operations Technician at Agnico Eagle, you will provide technical support to users at the Goldex mine and regional offices, installing and configuring software, hardware, and mobile devices. You will work within the regional IT team to ensure the effective use of technology in support of the company's operations.
Requirements
- Hold a college diploma (DEC) in computer science
- Have three (3) years of experience in technical support
- Be able to manage and configure mobile phones, know iOS/Android environments and the functioning of diagnostic mode
- Be able to configure workstations efficiently and master the Office 365 suite
- Know how to assign security groups in Active Directory and understand organizational units as well as the impacts of GPOs on computers and clients
- Install and configure printers on the print server
- Manage Microsoft Intune, AirWatch and Windows Defender applications
- Have a good knowledge of networking; VLAN, Spanning Tree and basic routing concepts
- Be able to provide support to users in a professional, polite and courteous manner
- Participate in 24/7 shift rotations with other team members in alternating shifts to manage emergencies
