Financial Accountant

Role Overview

AIA is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team in Melbourne or Sydney. The role is responsible for performing general accounting and reinsurance activities to ensure the integrity, accuracy and completeness of accounting records, and compliance with accepted accounting standards, AIA group reporting policy and statutory and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

Prepare accurate and timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journals and general ledger adjustments, perform end-to-end reinsurance accounting activities, and assist with the preparation of financial statement disclosures.

Successful applications will demonstrate a tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance, post-qualification experience, preferably with financial services experience, and strong MS Excel skills and proficiency in all MS software.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance
• Post-qualification experience, preferably with financial services experience
• Experience in completing reconciliations
• SAP and Sun Systems experience an advantage
• Microsoft Access experience an advantage
• Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency in all MS software
