Assistant Nurse Manager Med-Surg Float Pool 40hrs/week Nights

The Assistant Nurse Manager performs coordination, planning, administrative management, financial and operational duties in collaboration with other nursing staff. They mentor caregivers in patient care delivery and facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions. They are responsible for the delivery of patient care within a defined patient care area and contribute to goal setting and defining opportunities for patient care areas.

Requirements

• A Baccalaureate in nursing degree is required, a Master’s of Nursing Preferred
• Must hold current New York State Registered Nurse registration or eligible for licensure in New York State
• Management experience preferred
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and with external customers and agencies
• Utilizes problem-solving and decision making skills
• Coaches and mentors staff
