Job Description
We are seeking a Legal Counsel to represent the Director before the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal in matters involving allegations of discrimination. The successful candidate will provide legal advice to the Director and Commission staff on human rights, administrative law, and related legal disciplines.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (JD) required
- Active membership or immediate eligibility for full membership with the Law Society of Alberta required
- Minimum of 0-4 years of legal experience for Legal Counsel 1, 4 years for Legal Counsel 2
- Experience in Litigation and alternative dispute resolution required
- Strong understanding of Human Rights Law and administrative law required
