Equine Facilities Leader

The Equine Facilities Leader will assist with the equestrian program and facility maintenance, including performing duties such as maintaining the equestrian center facilities and equipment, caring for horse herds, and working with heavy equipment and machinery.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED
• Previous experience caring for horses
• Working knowledge and ability to perform the physical tasks of farm operations, carpentry, plumbing, and the repair and maintenance of farm equipment
• Working knowledge of the math of the carpentry trade
• Working knowledge of standard arithmetic computations to calculate the quantity of material and labor required for various farm projects
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret building and furniture plans
• Ability to use, repair, and maintain the tools, machines, and equipment of an equine farm
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to handle ill, injured, or unruly horses
