Assembler

At Allegion, we help keep the people you know and love safe and secure where they live, work and visit. The Assembler is responsible for assembling components, sub-assemblies, and final products across various manufacturing lines.

Requirements

• Assembler must assemble basic components using hand tools and equipment that is engineered for light assembly.
• Perform repetitive assembly tasks with precision, such as attaching, labeling, and packaging parts.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality and functionality standards.
• Document issues encountered during assembly using tools and standards to verify product quality and functionality.
• Track and document production metrics, such as completed units or defects.
• Identify and segregate defective parts for review and document quality issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, use PPE, and report potential hazards.
• Perform basic equipment checks.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control to address challenges and improve processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and store tools and equipment properly.
• Follow step-by-step written or verbal instructions.
• Be flexible by working overtime, cross-training, and adapting to new processes or technologies.
