Allegion is seeking an Assembler to join their team in Colorado Springs, CO. The Assembler will be responsible for assembling components, sub-assemblies, and final products across various manufacturing lines. The role requires proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Requirements
- Assemble basic components using hand tools and equipment that is engineered for light assembly.
- Perform repetitive assembly tasks with precision, such as attaching, labeling, and packaging parts.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality and functionality standards.
- Document issues encountered during assembly using tools and standards to verify product quality and functionality.
- Track and document production metrics, such as completed units or defects.
- Identify and segregate defective parts for review and document quality issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, use PPE, and report potential hazards.
- Perform basic equipment checks.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control to address challenges and improve processes.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to report issues and provide updates.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and store tools and equipment properly.
- Follow step-by-step written or verbal instructions.
- Be flexible by working overtime, cross-training, and adapting to new processes or technologies.
