Allegion is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead product quality and reliability for a metal fabrication plant producing steel doors and frames for high-end rated applications. The role combines management responsibilities with hands-on Quality Engineer activities and requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Develop, implement and sustain the plant Quality system and procedures
- Maintain a regular visible presence on the shop floor
- Partner closely with production and operations leadership
- Lead containment and corrective actions for non-conforming material
- Drive root-cause analysis using structured tools
- Provide SPC support and training
- Oversee receiving inspection, in-process and final inspections
- Manage supplier quality for purchased components
- Lead quality projects to documented completion
- Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives
- Manage internal quality audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards
