Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Counsel to join our team at Alliant Insurance Services. The successful candidate will have experience in ensuring compliance with evolving laws and regulations, advising on complex legal matters, and leading legal initiatives. The role involves collaborating with senior department leadership, overseeing the progress of legal department initiatives, and developing subject matter expertise in data use and protection laws.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Seven or more years of related work experience
- Member in good standing of at least one State Bar or the District of Columbia Bar
- Experience in effectively preparing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with minimum supervision
- Experience advising on domestic and global privacy laws, regulations, and frameworks
- Five or more years of privacy or product counseling experience
- Experience supporting employee benefits and advising on ERISA and HIPAA/privacy compliance (preferred)
- CIPP/US or CIPP/E Certification (preferred)
