Job Description
The Manager, Construction role at Allied is a 12-month contract position that involves managing the planning and execution of construction projects, including tenant improvements and capital projects, to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. The role requires strong project management skills, knowledge of construction methods and materials, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, construction, and real estate, and a university degree or college diploma in a related field.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in project management, construction, and real estate in general
- University degree or college diploma in a related field
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, practices, procedures and building codes
- Understand construction terms, scheduling, planning concepts, construction contracts (including CCDC2, CCDC5B and indemnity)
- Proven ability to budget, build relationships, and prioritize on multiple construction projects
- Great interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Bilingual French and English verbal and written communication
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with an ability to solve problems
- An assertive self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Good computer skills with intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project
