Job Description
Alphawave Semi is seeking a Senior Signal Integrity and Power Integrity (SI/PI) Engineer to join its team, focusing on high-speed electrical wireline systems. The successful candidate will design, analyze, and optimize high-performance interconnects, ensuring signal and power integrity in high-speed package, chip-on-board, PCB, and cable designs.
Requirements
- Masters/PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, or a related field
- Previous experience with electromagnetic modelling and simulation
- Strong understanding of microwave/RF and SI/PI fundamentals, including transmission line theory, s-parameters, crosstalk, channel simulation, PDN and EMIR.
- Proficiency with EDA Tools: KeySight ADS, Ansys Electronic Desktop (HFSS and SIwave), Cadence Sigrity PowerSI/DC, or other similar simulation/modeling tools.
- Ability to interpret s-parameters, impedance profiles, and power distribution network characteristics
- Experience with high-speed IC package and PCB design
- Proficiency in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, TDR, VNA, and spectrum analyzers for signal integrity and power integrity validation
