Microbiology Laboratory Technician

Role Overview

As a Microbiology Laboratory Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting operational requirements by preparing/analysing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, collecting and analysing data, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

What You Will Do

Perform advanced laboratory tests and analytical procedures, prepare and analyse samples, operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and collect and analyse data.

Requirements

• Laboratory certificate or qualification in science
• Understanding of safety precautions necessary while working with samples of unknown hazard
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Involved in daily housekeeping of the laboratory
• Ability to work well in a team orientated environment
• Good communication and organisational skills
