Superviseur Maintenance

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee personnel, plan operations, and ensure equipment availability and reliability in the Greater Montreal area. The ideal candidate will have a secondary school diploma or vocational training diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering, strong communication and time management skills, and experience in the rail industry.

• Supervise personnel
• Communicate unit goals and contribution to operational objectives
• Forecast and assign workload
• Establish performance expectations and monitor them
• Provide feedback and recognition on performance
• Encourage employees to develop new skills and improve performance
• Apply collective agreements and human resources policies
• Establish and maintain labor relations with the union
• Solicit employee comments and participation in organization and operational problem-solving
• Plan operations
• Forecast and prioritize operations to meet service commitments
• Ensure equipment availability and reliability
• Plan resource and workload requirements
• Coordinate and monitor operations
• Monitor performance to ensure work is done in accordance with standards and operating procedures
• Determine operational failure causes
• Plan and coordinate activities to restore service in the event of service disruption
