We're looking for a Full-time on-site Validation and Test Engineer to work in Hornell, NY. The successful candidate will contribute to the certification and validation of advanced train systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience or understanding of train systems, including system analysis and railways.
- Knowledge of simulation tools such as Matlab, Control Build, or Lab View.
- Familiarity with functional and physical test execution in domains like Train network, TCMS software functions, Traction, Braking, or Aerodynamics.
- A certification or communication skill: Ability to communicate technical findings effectively in reports and presentations.
- Tests organization capability and knowledge of planning tools.
- Ability to define, create, and maintain test benches.
- Knowledge of electrical vs software design on trains.
- Travel ability up to 50%, based on project needs.
