Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead the EHS path at the AltaGas Blythe plant. As the siteās EHS Specialist, you will take ownership of all environmental, health, and safety functions, refining programs, maturing processes, and collaborating across the facility to strengthen regulatory compliance and foster a thriving safety mindset.
Requirements
- Maintain compliance with EPA, OSHA, NERC, and state/local environmental permits
- Prepare and submit environmental reports, including waste management and air emissions
- Maintain OSHA 300 logs and all required incident documentation
- Develop and implement safety programs
- Conduct facility inspections, risk assessments, and behaviorābased safety observations
- Lead safety committee meetings and promote a strong safety culture
- Conduct rootācause investigations for accidents and near misses and recommend actions to prevent recurrence
- Lead the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and coordinate emergency drills
- Oversee contractor safety and ensure compliance with all site standards
