Job description
Alternative Payments is building a financial operating system for SMBs, and we're seeking a Head of Data to own the intelligence layer that sits across everything we build. This is a player-coach role that requires balancing reactive work and executing the longer-term data strategy.
You will own data strategy and infrastructure, analytics and self-serve insights, and AI collaboration. This includes leading complex data projects, preparing datasets for machine learning workflows, and ensuring the right data is available for AI engineering.
We're looking for a candidate with 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, analytics, or a closely related field, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role. You should have strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL, deep technical fluency with data infrastructure, and proven experience with ML-based data enrichment and entity resolution.
