Job Description
Franciscan Health Lafayette East is seeking a Cytotechnologist to screen and diagnose gynecological and non-gynecological slides under the direction of pathologists. The role involves accessioning, staining, microscopic screening, and filing cytology slides, while adhering to quality control procedures and contributing to a healing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- 12-month training program in an accredited cytotechnology school
- 2 years of experience in a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 12 semester hours in science and 8 hours in biology
- Successfully completed 12-month training program in an accredited school of cytotechnology
