Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic responsible for performing maintenance tasks, including lubrication and repairs, to ensure production machinery is running efficiently. Utilizes preventative maintenance schedule to schedule and perform tasks, assists production personnel with mechanical problems, and maintains building utility equipment.

Requirements

• Utilize preventative maintenance schedule from Maintenance Management program to schedule and perform machinery lubrication and repairs.
• Checks production machinery daily for visual, audible and other signs of malfunction or failure.
• Immediately corrects minor problems without interrupting production as needed
• Assists production personnel with mechanical problems.
• Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on gear drives, vacuum pumps, clutch/brake assemblies etc., as required.
• Maintains building utility equipment such as air compressors, water chillers, and air conditioners at optimum efficiency.
• Submits requisitions for purchase orders for repair parts and materials required in his/her area of responsibility.
• Maintains adequate supply of repair parts to service machinery and prevent prolonged machine down time.
