As a Process Technician, you'll support daily molding or printing operations, perform machine start-ups, basic troubleshooting, material/colorant management, and product quality checks. This role works under close guidance from Process Technician II/III staff and leads to build foundational technical knowledge of injection molding processes, equipment, and safety practices.
Requirements
- Follows all safety rules, PPE, LOTO, and machine-guarding procedures.
- Reports hazards, near misses, and equipment concerns immediately.
- Maintains clean and safe work areas.
- Performs basic machine start-ups, shutdowns, and routine checks.
- Makes minor adjustments under direction to maintain part quality.
- Monitors cycle consistency, alarms, and part ejection.
- Maintains steady material and colorant supply to assigned machines.
- Loads/unloads resin and additives using loaders, hoppers, or material handling systems.
- Monitors hot-stamp foil supply and reports alignment/usage issues.
- Performs in-process visual inspections for defects (flash, shorts, splay, contamination).
- Records basic production data, part counts, scrap reasons, and downtime.
- Communicates clearly during shift handoffs with incoming/outgoing techs.
