HR Team Leader

Amentum is seeking an experienced HR Team Leader to join their organisation. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated HR team and play a key role in supporting the business through periods of growth and change. The role requires strong people management skills, a collaborative style, and excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an HR Operations, People Operations, or Shared Services environment, with leadership or supervisory responsibility
• Comfortable operating in a dual role, combining team leadership with hands-on delivery of HR casework
• Demonstrated experience working within a Shared Services or case management/queue environment, with the ability to prioritise and manage a high volume of requests
• Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team
• Able to balance competing priorities, effectively managing both day-to-day operational delivery and project work
• Experience of leading or supporting HR projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, or organisational change initiatives
• Confident handling complex or sensitive employee matters, acting as an escalation point where required
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to allocate work effectively while also contributing directly to delivery
• A collaborative and approachable style, with excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• A continuous improvement mindset, with experience identifying and implementing process efficiencies
• High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance in HR processes and communications
• Solid understanding of the employee lifecycle and HR best practice
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience is desirable
