Job Description
Ameresco is seeking an experienced Commercial/Industrial HVAC Mechanic to join their Operations & Maintenance Team at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of HVAC experience and a high school diploma, trade or vocational school education, and journeyman's HVAC license. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing HVAC systems, troubleshooting, recharging, and repairing heat pump systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Trade or Vocational School education.
- 5 years of HVAC experience.
- Ability to review confidential US security information.
- Journeyman's HVAC License.
- Ability to read and interpret system and equipment plans, specifications, operating manuals.
- Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs & transport equipment & tools in excess of 300 lbs.
- Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.
- Ability to frequently work from ladders, platforms, high places, and cramped spaces.
- May require flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.
