Engineer II

The Engineer II performs engineering design review and analysis assignments, usually involving a significant project or several smaller or less complex projects. They develop a thorough understanding of policies, methods, and procedures through broader and more technically challenging work assignments.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or other related disciplines
• Demonstrated computer literacy in engineering software
• Exposed to Finite Element Method (course work or supervised research)
• Ten (10) years or more of related engineering experience in a shipyard, design/consulting office, shipping/oil company, or a classification society
• Professional or chartered engineer license
• Ability to identify, analyze and propose solutions to problems
• Good command of the English language with the ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to work well with others
