Job Description
The SMT Operator will be responsible for setup, maintenance and operation of assigned production equipment, achieving goals for quality, efficiency and productivity, and acting as an integral team member to manufacturing engineering, quality and the extended SMT team on all new product introductions (NPI) and production runs.
Requirements
- Setup, maintenance and operation of automated Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly equipment
- Perform setup and changeover duties as required of Universal pick and place machines
- Operate, monitor and replenish electronic components onto feeders across multiple Universal pick and place machines
- Perform in-process visual inspections and initiate first article processes for all electronic assemblies at the SMT
- Act as back up to other SMT Operators, Material Handlers and AOI operators in running the automated equipment within the SMT group
