Job Description
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) RN is responsible for administering the Nursing Services under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services in accordance with established policies and procedures. The ADON will orient, instruct, and supervise other nursing personnel, evaluate patient conditions, and develop care plans. They will also assist with the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing of the Nursing Services Department, as well as related programs and activities.
Requirements
- Two (2) years' experience in supervision of others in a hospital, long term care facility, or other health care institution
- Minimum of one (1) year experience implementing total patient care and care planning
- Minimum of six (6) months experience in geriatric and/or psychiatric nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or Organizational Development preferred
