Production Manufacturing Engineer (entry level)

American Plastics is searching for an entry level Production Engineer to maintain product quality, optimize plant operations, and implement changes in production methods for new and existing processes.

Requirements

• Maintain & enforce product quality inspection and testing requirements
• Optimize plant operations to meet plant and business goals in asset capability, quality, and budget/cost
• Identify areas of opportunity and implement changes in production methods for new and existing processes
• Develop and drive initiatives aimed at improvements to productivity and first-pass yield
• Develop programs/methods to optimize producibility and reduce cycle time
• Quality Control experience with the ability to investigate non-conforming materials, in-process or finished goods failures and field returns and report on these areas
• Write non-conforming material reports, Process/Product change notification, manufacturing procedures, and work instructions
• Attain a full understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures with the ability to translate them to implementation in the plant
• Lead operations’ drive to zero (zero injuries and zero unplanned events)
• Lead and participate in Root Cause Investigations for unplanned events
