American University seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach American Sign Language. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction at the undergraduate level and fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Requirements

• Hold an advanced degree (doctorate or masters) from a nationally accredited institution
• Have native or near-native fluency in ASL
• Have demonstrated teaching excellence in American Sign Language at different levels
• Have a strong understanding of Deaf culture and community
• Be committed to collegiality, good citizenship, and a desire to serve the school
