The Building Maintenance Engineer role is responsible for providing a safe, functional, clean, efficient and attractive living and learning environment in university facilities. The position involves performing work in various trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC and painting, and requires general supervision.
Requirements
- Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance on building infrastructure, equipment, and systems
- Work with trade personnel to troubleshoot and/or repair building infrastructure, equipment, or systems
- Record, document and report findings and actions of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Attend and participate in department and university meetings
- Attend technical or required safety trainings to stay current
- Escort and provide access, oversight, and general guidance to contractors
