Utility Laborer

Utility Laborer position at American Water, responsible for performing tasks related to water metering, valve operation, and water distribution work. Includes routine maintenance, construction duties, and hydro-cleaning of wastewater and storm water mains.

Requirements

• Operation and routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment related to water and wastewater systems
• Performance of maintenance and construction duties as assigned
• Calibration and repair of instrumentation and control equipment
• Communication with all levels of the organization
• Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations
• Use of motorized vehicles and equipment such as forklifts and heavy trucks
• Use of power tools and common hand tools
• Establishing effective working relationships with employees and customers
