We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Mobile Approved Electrician in the HMP Wymott, Ulnes Walton, Leyland, Preston, Lancashire. The role will involve travel across the region visiting various sites, with a van provided. The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00, with weekend work on a rota basis and part of an on call rota.
Requirements
- City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Electrical Installation works or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing or equivalent
- BS7671 18th Edition
- Qualify for Amey Electrical AP responsibilities.
- AM2 Practical
- NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent and or ECS Gold Card Approved Electrician
- Full UK Driving License
- Good Working Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- Strong communication skills
- Role specific training as identified by People Manager
- Basic IT skills
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
- At least five Years experience working as an Electrician.
- Two years’ experience working in a role as a test and inspection electrician or equivalent
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
- Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
- Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines
- Able to work at heights
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Understanding of fire alarm and CCTV systems, which will help you make an immediate impact.
