Job Description
The Youth Care Specialist Supervisor provides leadership and supervision of the Youth Care Specialists, ensuring safe and secure operations of the program and motivating and guiding team members. The role also involves supervising team members and youth, assisting with development of work schedules, and providing timely performance feedback to direct reports.
Requirements
- Supervise team members and youth in accordance with operational policies and procedures
- Assist with development of work schedules
- Provide timely performance feedback to direct reports
- Instruct youth in the general care and maintenance of facility and equipment
- Supervise the safe handling of program property and equipment
- Serve as advisor and positive role model for youth in the program and team members
- Communicate necessary information to appropriate team members and supervisors/directors
- May be required to dispense medication
- Administer first aid and CPR during emergencies
- Prevent and intervene in youth altercations and incidents
- Attend and maintain CPR and First Aid certification
- Operate institute vehicles as required
- Transport youth and may drive for other work-related tasks
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
