Job Description
Amity Foundation is seeking a Registered/Certified Substance Abuse Counselor I to provide face-to-face rehabilitative programming services in in-prison facilities. The counselor will support the community by delivering treatment programming services, conducting group and individual sessions, and working with participants to develop and implement treatment/action plans.
Requirements
- 6 months of experience providing SUDT services as a certified AOD Counselor
- Current AOD Certification with organization recognized by the DHCS OR Registration with BBS or AOD Certifying body, depending on education level
- Understanding of causes, symptoms, and effects of substance abuse
- Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills
- Operational knowledge of MS Office Suite and ARMS (preferred)
