Job Description
The Lab Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a clinical laboratory, including testing departments, staff supervision, workflow, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. The role requires a strong understanding of laboratory operations and the ability to effectively manage and motivate staff. This position involves maintaining lab equipment and software accuracy, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a natural sciences field with 6+ years of high complexity testing clinical laboratory experience (M.S. preferred)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using LIMS
- Knowledge of basic principles of biology, toxicology, and chemistry
- Ability to perform clinical/forensic toxicological tests
- Knowledge of public health laboratory laws and regulations
- Self-direction and independent work
- Strong communication skills
