3rd Shift Tool and Die Maker

Amsted Automotive is seeking a 3rd Shift Journeyman Tool & Die Maker to manufacture or repair tooling needs using precision equipment. The successful candidate will understand how they impact product quality and affect internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Read and follow written work instructions as provided.
• Read and interpret complicated tool drawings.
• Fabricate and/or repair tools, fixtures and machine parts
• Manufacture quality products to meet customer requirements
• Do complicated set ups and operations on machine tools such as lathes, standard and CNC mills and EDM’s, grinders, hones, saws, CAD/CAM.
• Maintain a continuous material flow throughout the Tool & Die Process
• Design and fabricate simple or complex jigs and fixtures.
• Make decisions using math, charts, tables, formulas, and knowledge of machining techniques and methods.
