The CDL Program Director provides leadership for the CDL Program, responsible for providing subject matter expertise, curriculum development, and implementation. The position also involves hiring, assigning, and evaluating Driver Trainers, as well as monitoring and supporting the student population. The CDL Program Director plays an active role in the student advising process and is responsible for continuous improvement of the program.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Industry certification in the field of instruction or demonstrated knowledge equivalent to the certification
- 3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment
- 5 years of industry experience in the field of instruction
- 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role
- Ability to qualify as a CDL Driver/Driver Trainer
- Knowledge regarding faculty development, including requirements, delivery methods, and reporting
