Job Description
The Laboratory Analyst will carry out analysis according to the section work plan, prioritize analysis according to customer requirements, and ensure all expectations associated with submitted samples are met.
Requirements
- Carry out analysis according to the section work plan
- Follow accredited methods of analysis as detailed in the quality manual
- Prioritize analysis according to customer requirements
- Ensure all expectations associated with submitted samples are met
- Participate in out of hours standby rota
- Document actions taken with flagged results
- Ensure maintenance records for the methods used are kept up to date
- Ensure reagent records detail all changes, fresh stocks etc.
- Ensure that analytical method is kept up to date with correct analytical practice
- Stock maintenance and ensuring deliveries are dealt with appropriately
- Maintenance of local stock control records to ensure the viability of analytical methods
- Responding to service requests
- General admin to support the team
- Responsible for disposal of waste in line with procedures
