Metering Technician

Metering Technician will complete meter reading operations, maintain records, and ensure efficiency and productivity. Identify and report maintenance jobs, meter exchanges, and potential leaks, and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Ensure all meters are read accurately
• Maintain accurate records
• Identify and report any maintenance jobs, meter exchanges, and potential leaks
• Liaise with customers as appropriate
• Complete non-routine reading and income-related operations
• Conduct flow tests to confirm correct supply connections
• Replace lids
• Complete void inspections
• Confirm correct plots to postal addresses
• Complete meter exchange operations efficiently and cost-effectively
• Ensure all work completed on the network meets necessary regulations
• Track new and old meters and hold sufficient stocks
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Ensure health and safety of self and the public
• Provide excellent customer service
• Contribute positively to team and cross-team working
• Identify and seek opportunities for self-development
