Director, Accounting Operations

Anthropic is seeking a Director of Corporate Accounting to lead its corporate accounting organization as it scales its financial operations to support frontier AI development. The successful candidate will own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of core accounting infrastructure, build and lead a world-class team, and drive strategic initiatives including system selection and implementation, close acceleration, and the buildout of a control framework.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams of 5+ people
• Deep technical accounting expertise, particularly in ASC 842 (lease accounting) and ASC 718 (stock-based compensation)
• Proven experience building and scaling accounting organizations in high-growth technology companies
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
